Default shorty header question

i bought a pair of bbk shorty header's from my friend, who also has a 96 T/A and i was looking on a couple website's and they look like they come with this other littloe part that connects to the pass side header. do i need it or will they just bolt up to all the stock stuff?

everything that's on your car should bolt right upto the headers'.. the pipe i believe is for your egr sys.. you might need a adapter or some sort.. Just ditch all the emission's crap.. easier that way

No reason to ditch the "emissions crap" it only weighs aboput 2-3 pounds and it's cut off at WOT. Save yourself or your tuner the trouble of disabling the system.

well what i have read on a couple of web sites is that you have to cut the existinjg flange off of the Y pipe then weld in this new piece, i am just wondering if i should go to a muffer shop and try to have it made or just call bbk and see if they could sell me one.
