LT1 Transplant problems Putting a LT1 into my 1990 Chevrolet Silverado C3500. Prior to this install I've done the same on my 86 Camaro and on my 77 Corvette. Major difference is the wiring harness, this one appear to have come from a 94 Caprice.
Symptoms: no flicker on test light during crank when stuck in Injector (Sometimes). will start and run for a little bit half the time.

I have it disabled in the build. I drove this vehicle around my driveways. stopped, turn it off. then this started... it's not constant, I've started it up and moved it twice since.
if I put my test light (grounded) into the ground side of one of the injectors it will start right up and run. when I remove it, the idle increases, it will run for around 20 seconds and then die... so I understand your thought about VATS. but if I leave the test light in the ground side of an injector, it will sit and idle (poorly) for as long as I leave it there.

Bad harness I bought a new harness and all is well The old one had a lot of cutouts this is a 94 Caprice harness which runs the engine just great but the transmission won't shift and I'm going to post a new post for that
