1le AC Delete pulley.

Looking to purchase an ac delete pulley. I’ve found a Dorman and one from hawks third gen. The Dorman had some bad reviews.

Anyone used the one from hawks third gen? Is it an actual gm pulley?

The 1LE GM pulley isn't made anymore, so its probably a Dorman. FWIW, I removed my AC two years ago and put the Dorman in. Other than having to space the bracket out with washers so it aligned with the other pulleys, its been fine.

I would call up TPIS in Minnesota, he makes them in house with american made parts and bearing.
No spacers needed on my 96 z28. I have about 10k miles on it so far.

I have the Dorman on my 96 Firebird. The one I got came with a pulley spacer. The pulley also comes with hardware and threaded holes in the bracket. I had to drill out the threads on the bracket and use my factory hardware. I also installed the included spacer. You remove the pulley from the bracket and it goes under it. I did not have to add any washers on the bolts after installing the spacer.

Ok, looked at the pictures of both and the Hawks isn’t threaded and looks like a smaller pulley.

I need to call or email them.

No, just the stock bracket and accessories. I don't think it was bad quality, it sounds like maybe I didn't get a spacer since seawolf got one. I now remember having to drill out the threaded holes on the bracket like he said as well. I also lifted the bearing seal and packed the bearings with some extra grease.
