94 Z28 looking for some input
I have some questions and looking for input, this thing is a beast, someone loved this Camaro a lot back in its prime, have been in a few the same year and none of them roar like this dam thing does I am convinced this is a 383 stroker, it has 165k on the speedo doesn't burn a drop of oil, has BBK headers, throttle body and cold air intake, aluminum heads now comes where I need the input.
1) I had the 4l60E upgrade ( got 6 months drive time before opti spark went ) done to the trans 2 years ago yes its been waiting that long for me to finish the opti spark and timing chain, pan gasket debacle so it has the 5 pinion planetary and upgrades, my concern is I go down the freeway at 80 mph and I am running about 1700 rpm dam things gets mileage a prius dreams about, I have seen 35-38 mpg, am I hurting the transmission ? I believe it has the stock rear end and drawing a blank on on the ratio at the moment but at that low an rpm am I pumping enough fluid thru the trans? and should I swap out to a different ratio and if so which one?
2) At 1700 rpm going 80 down the freeway is that motor generating enough oil pressure? Not a lot of load at 1700 rpm but curious if this is normal ?
3) A/C delete curious if it was worth it ?, I know its actually more expensive to get it back up and running but with the motor in this car its not like its going to kill me on fuel economy.

As far as oil pressure is concerned I have an oil pressure booster that runs directly off the brakes! Bloody expensive, but worth it!
PS- It’s for sail, too. It’s a one-of-a-kind Super Special Camero. Has 130,000 on the clock.
$27,500 frim
no tire kickers
much have cash in hand for test drive!
