Chrome alternator?

My stock alternator for my 97 Firebird formula lt1 is making a squeaking noise, I know it’s the bearings going out but it still works but it’s annoying so I was looking into a chrome alternator, I bought the powermaster chrome alternator but it wouldn’t clear the valve covers and I had to return it, is there any chrome alternators for the lt1 engine tht is direct fit or has anyone done this before, thanks

chrome pulleys slip so if the pully is also chrome you should rough up the pully surface the belt rides on...may be difficult as it is ribbed

Well does anyone know any direct fit chrome alternator for the lt1 engine I had a powermaster one but it didn’t clear the valve cover

Torqhead sells a billet shallow body alternator. Not chrome but shiny. Although if I remember correctly it’s pricey.
