So I have a stock Delphi replacement in the car right now from autozone and figured I’d get a spare walbro GSS”342” 255 pump online for $100 but the fuel inlet are different sizes compared to stock. Anyone any ideas on how to Install on stock cup?
Stock pump that went bad to the left and walbro “GSS342” 255 to the right, the inlet are different sizes and want it to sit flush on the cup just like stock. Any ideas?
Also with the stock rubber gasket that goes at the top of the pump will fit but I will not be able to enclose the pump in the cup as it will leave an 8th of an inch open on the cap/cover. 🤔
I'd take that one back and get a Holly, Granatelli or Walbro 255 where the inlet seats correctly in a GM pump bucket. If it hasn't been done already, you may need to modify the ribs inside the bucket to make one of the ones listed fit due to the inlet being offset compared to the stock unit. Don't run a pump w/out that bucket.

do you have a part number of the walbro that fits the stock cup? Apparently there’s a million different walbro 255’s. Didn’t do enough research before I bought.
It's been forever on end since I've ordered a pump and probably got it from a f-body specific web store. Racetronix has a pump. Not sure if it's their own brand: https://www.racetronix.biz/p/255l-hr...sure/f20000169
You can call them as well. Do a search in this forum for fuel pumps. A pump I did order from Summit was a Holly 255. Lasted maybe a year, but I blame that more on not using the bucket more than anything else. Most likely it was made by the same factory as the Walbro...
