Fuel tank baffles....is this right?

I've got a 96 lt4 and under half a tank under hard turns it stalls. Today I pulled the pump expected to see a missing baffle but here it is and attached to the bottom. Is this what it normally looks like? Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what the assembly is supposed to look like in the vettes. I was confused at first until I realized you have a vette.

The f-bodies have the pump in a plastic sealed bucket. I don't think there is anything like what you are showing in a 4th gen f-body tank.

Will need some folks in here with vette experience.

In all the times I've replaced a fuel pump I've never really looked in the tank. Looks to be relatively the same.
