Timing chain and gear alternatives
My LT1 is in a Chevy C10. Carb and top mounted distributor mods already done. Electric water pump conversion is next. I see now I have to pull the timing chain to get the water pump drive out of the block. (IMHO an incredibly dumb design). Question is...what timing chain and gearset should I put back in.? I see from other posts that Cloyes makes a double roller that works, but that is overkill for my engine. Is there a single roller that will work? Part # ??.

The water pump drive doesn't necessarily need to be removed to run a EWP though. You can leave it in there and it shouldn't cause any issues with the coupler disconnected.
