Default Do the Crane 10308 fit without modding?

I am in the middle of my cam swap and I think maybe I bought the wrong springs. The Crane 10308 are much wider than the stock springs so they won't sit in the pocket. Are these only for modded heads? Seemed like when I bought them a lot of people online were running them so I thought they would be a direct fit. If they don't fit, what is a good spring to use for stock heads and a comp cams 276HR-12 ?

Thanks a million!

I'm guessing you're trying to put these on a b-body LT1 with iron heads based on your username. The 10308-1 is for aluminum heads, you need the 10309-1 which is the iron headed version.

Out of curiosity what is different between the two? They look to have the same 1.255 OD?

They aren't the same OD or even the same spring type. The 10308-1 kit has a 1.460" OD dual (99893) whereas 10309-1 has a standard SBC style 1.255" OD single (99845).
