Guess my next move would be pull the intake and see if I have oil in ports

**** it...I've thrown everything else out there so here goes another possibilty. Maybe you're sucking oil in from the PCV system and it's pooling up oil in the back of the intake manifold and then being sucked into the rear cylinders via the intake valves then pushed out through the exhaust valves. We could what if this to death but your tearing it down anyway which is probably for the best. Engine most likely has many miles on it therefore it doesn't owe you anything.

Pulled the pcv valve and still smoked. Another guess I have is maybe the intake isn't seating right if the heads were milled or something.

Pulled the intake today and the bottom of the intake gaskets were wet with oil at the rear ports. Would think they would be dry with a proper seal. Figured I would try caking some gasket maker on both sides of the gasket and put it back together. Still smoked for a 15 minute cruise but not sure how long it would take the pipes to dry out as they were drenched in oil. Pulled the headers after and it looked like burnt oil instead of actually being wet. Will probably take a longer ride tomorrow and see how it goes. If it doesn't get better she's coming apart. I want to say it was slowly better the longer I drove but can't say for sure

Motor is out and apart again.First thing i did is check ring gaps which as insane as it sounds I don't think I checked when I just did rings... Soo first ring I checked on one of the culprit cylinders is about 2 millimeters or ~.078 inches. If I'm not mistaken I should be at about .016 on the top ring? If so I would guess that may have something to do with my smoking issue. I feel like I remember reading they were pre gapped but when I think about it that makes no sense. Probably taking the block and heads to the machine shop regardless while it's apart.

The weird part is if all the rings are close to the same why was it mainly blowing oil out of the rear 2 cylinders? Maybe they're closer to oil with the angle the motor sits? The exhaust ports on 7 and 8 are much more caked than the rest.

And all ring gaps were good and staggered? Have you checked the play on your valve stems to see if the valve guides are good?

No ring gaps were all around 2 mm which is much too big from what I've read. Now the question is why are my rings gapped too big out of the box? They are Hastings rings and are std size. Checked my bore size and it looks to be exactly 4 inches. Pretty confused now.

Ordered oversized rings and filed them down to a proper gap. All back together and so far no smoke. Hoping it stays that way

Lol filing the rings felt like about a year. First time doing that. I'm trying to make the Wildwood NJ car show in September so I'm rushing a bit. Quite a few late nights

Default 93 formula smoking

It could be due to worn out valve seals, excessive guide wear or cylinder rings. A compression and leak down will tell you what your problem is. Low compression that gets better after oil is injected into the spark plug hole is pretty good sign of a ring issue just as a cylinder leakdown that loses air pressure too quickly. If you can hear air hissing through the throttle body then you have air getting around the intake valve seal which is not good just as hearing air coming out of the exhaust pipe means you have a bad exhaust valve seal.
Idk if this is similar or not but I could use some advise this 93 formula sat for 20 years I changed waterpump plugs wires cap and rotar in the opti new radiator temp sensor pretty much everything that could be done without actually taking the motor apart i did a engine flush and it ran great for about a year and then all of a sudden it started guzzling gas and smoking horribly every 60 seconds or so I tried to upload a video but it won't let me
also oil is clean and doesn't overheat just burns through lots and lots of gas

Any codes? Sensors sitting that long could be bad. Seals also could become dry/hardened.
