Knock sensor resistor spoof instructions needed
This was the way i was told to wire it, but it doesnt sound correct.
1] disconnect pigtail from knock sensor
2] cut wire
3] connect resistor to wire ends, and insulate.
4] reconnect pig tail to knock sensor
2nd way:
1] disconnect pigtail from knock sensor
2] put resistor end into end of the pigtail, wire tape to keep in place
3] wire a ground to the other end of resistor. Insulate.
4] leave knock sensor unhooked
3rd way:
Same as 2, but connect the other end of the resistor to the knock sensor and wire tape to keep in place.
REASON: Im out of state and trying to drive my car back home 1500 miles, the only thing stopping me now is code 43 (EST curcuit code from roller rockers in the LT4). I ordered a chip from PCM of NC 2 weeks ago. It shipped late. I had to extend my stay a week to wait for it. Finally got the chip installed and its DOA. Idle set to 2000rpm/no revs. I dont have time to wait for more incompetence from them. Somebody throw me a frickin' bone here.

Basically the knock sensor is a 1 wire pigtail , so you put the resistor in series with the pigtail wire and the other end of the resistor to ground. (because the ground is normally provided by the block when the knock sensor is screwed onto the block)
