Nitrous/opti combo Hey guys! So there’s the option of the torque head 24X unit of course to replace the opti. I want to run at least a 150 shot in my car. Would it be smart/wise to do the torque head 24x coil pack/ecu upgrade before putting the spray in? Or am I fine to run my tuned ecu, MSD/ ignition/opti and spray away. Thanks!

There are plenty of high horsepower racers that still use the optispark. Not like it is a total failure, just has mishaps when wet ect. I am running nitrous myself and really the only thing limiting with the optispark is it does not like to spin in high rpms around 7000. Id say youre perfectly fine running nitrous with the opti. My personal recommendation though is to gap your plugs down to 30-35. Just something to help keep the opti more reliable and from arcing inside.
If you do choose to do the torque head swap, Solomon at lt1pcm tuning has tuning those units before. Take a look at ltcc, using opti like a sensor but instead uses coil packs for ignition removes all the high voltage running through the opti, its pretty cool
