Engine bogging down when launching and trying burnouts
I need help, I have a 1995 TA, 5.7 LT1. When I full throttle from a dead stop the car bogs down very badly and won’t even attempt a burnout. I thought it was the optispark or ignition coil after some research but I changed that very recently, didn’t fix it. I’m thinking it’s getting low fuel pressure somehow. Any help is appreciated
Rent or buy yourself a fuel pressure gauge and see what it reads with the vacuum line removed from the fuel pressure regulator. Optimal is between 43 and 45psi. Take it for a drive without the vacuum line attached and gauge taped to your windshield and blip the throttle under load to see what the gauge does.
