Question 4.3 V8-LT1 or LT4

I would like to build a small c.i.d. supercharged LT4 for my 70 Nova street machine project.

Q. Can I use a 262-265 short-block with all the LT1-LT4 heads and components?

I dont believe so, because they were of a much smaller bore then the LT1/4

If you want to do that I think you'd have to use an LT1 / LT4 engine with a smaller crank and/or smaller pistons to reduce the displacement down to 4.3 L

Don't think a 1970's engine block would play well with reverse cooling LTx heads
