Default Bent Valves??

o.k. here's the situation. I am running a lt4/383 stroker w/ 10.5 to 1 compression. I was pulling on to the highway gave it a little gas and the motor died. I brought it to my mechanic and he told me I snapped the timing chain... WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT I BENT VALVES OR DID OTHER DAMAGE?

There is a very good chance that when the timming chain broke that you had a few valves kiss the pistons. Depending on what type of push rods you are using. If you have weeker pushrods they may have given in and bend before the valves did. Only way to find out is to tear into her. Good luck
