Default installing a vortech s-trim

94 z28
i'm installing a vortech s-trim. directions say the sending unit for the car should be in the block, well mine is in the oil pan. the oil feed line kit vortech sends with the kit has no way of screwing into where the sending unit goes, hole is to big for there fitting. also the sending unit needs to be submerged and they gave me nothing to put it into like a tube or anything... someone with a 94 z28 and a vortech please help me out. where can i run this line from then... can i just tap a hole next to the sending unit with a thread tap and go from there?? have been trying to figure something out for days...

Are you sure the oil presure sending unit is in the oil pan.?? It should be mounted out side of the motor. What you are going to be doing is making a T from where the Oil presure sending unit mounts and the sending unit. Then the oil will be pumped into the supercharger that way. You will need to drill a hole in the Oil pan for the return line. Let me know if you have any more questions.

the sending unit is at the back on top of the block right behind the intake on the drivers side. it actually is where the typical SBC intake leak occurs. go look at any SBC vette other than a C5 and itll be clear where the sender is at. how to plumb into it, in not sure as i dont know what youve got from vortec.

correct, the oil pressure sending unit is mounted to the backside of the block where the intake attaches to the block. There will be a small fitting coming out from the top of the block next to the intake that the Oil Pressure Sending Unit attaches to.
