my buddy has a 97 T/A lt1 ... with LT's and full exaust ... when he drives it hard the SES light starts to flash, then his car starts to run like **** ... starts dumping fuel like crazy in it ... he also just replaced the opti spark ... is it the tuning or what...

to fix the problem he just unplugs the battery then everything is fine for a short time then starts acting up..

 

He really needs to have the car scanned for codes. Let the car set codes again and take it to Auto Zone or some one with an OBDII scanner to find out what codes are being thrown.

 

Has he ever had the car tuned? Did he buy it stock?

 

when the SES flashes on a OBD2 car it means it is missing badly. gotta find out whats wrong with the ignition. could also be knock causing it to run bad

 

well the lt4 knock module didnt work ... so we are flashing the computer and we are going to replace the plugs
