where is our O2 sensor?

where is our O2 sensor? I just got my 02 sensor replaced at the dealership for what seemed like a good price ($165) would this have been easier to buy the part and put on myself or would it be too difficult for a noob like me? where are the sensors located? It took the guy over 2 hours to do and he said it was quite a bitch of a job, but im not sure if it was BS.
BTW it completely solved the hesitation problem and my car is back kicking *** again

Somebody was telling me to get new O2 sensors for my own hesitation problem - so it's on the exhaust manifold? Do we (LT1 owners) have 2 sensors, or 4?? I'm assuming there's gotta be at least 2 of them; one before the cat and one after.

93-95 yrs. the first 2 will be right at the connecting point of the manifold and the y-pipe. on both sides of the engine
96-97 yrs. the first 2 will be located in the same spot and then the next 2 will be AFTER the cat convertor's on both sides

That's one more reason I'm glad I've got a '95!
