Wow! Those are some great times with a stock motor. What were his trap speeds?

Yep, I call BS. They weigh 3500 lbs with a four cylinder motor. Add in an LT1 and accompanying trans, and its now 3700 lbs. Thats impala territory. With bolt ons, I can see it running 14.00@100 or so, no faster.

Its ok, they had 4 models....the extended/crew cabs were between 3500 and 4,000lbs..I wasnt even aware they got that heavy. This was just a plain ol run of the mil shortbed S10. The pictures will show what kind of sleeper this thing is. BTW all runs were on DRs!!

Per 'MeanYellowZ' -

MY truck weighs 3225 as it sits
It ran 12.8's with the STOCK 160k LT1
It runs 12.4 with the 90k LT1 with 305 cam, otherwise stock
11.11 was on 225 shot
kaboom was on same shot.

runs 12.5 on 235 street tires
Still pretty damn impressive

I own the truck, hopefully I can clear up some stuff...

1998 S10 as it sits with LT1 weighs 3225

ran 12.8s on 160k stock motor on street tires, ran for two years like that, ran 11.60s on 150 shot

now with new motor ran 12.47 on et streets and 12.5's on street tires

ran 11.11 on 225 shot, ran 11.4 on bad sixty with 175 shot very often.

I think its impressive, mainly because its mine , but more because of what it is. Its a pretty nice truck, doesn't appear too fast, I drive it every day 30 minutes to work, it idles and drives like stock, I have low dollars in it, and its fun. The motor I have in it now came from a wrecked 600 dollar car that I parted out.

Here is the truck

Thats an awesome looking truck, I daily drive an 04 S-10 Blazer. Though I have a Trans Am already, one day I want to pick up a high mile 4 cyl and build it up as a race truck. Very nice truck man!
