im sure everybody is aware of the awesome power ls1's pull with just a head and cam package, infact i was reading an article where one pulled 490rwhp w/ H/C!
-what is the most rwhp an lt1 could pull with only heada and cam?
or.....with cnc 227 lt4 afr, huge cam,lt's full bolt on/ignition/fuel system/dyno tune, is low to mid 400's possible???

People are getting low 400's with ported LT1 heads by lloyd Elliott and Joe O cams. Also, Advanced induction has some cars making well over 400rwhp with their ported LT1 heads and their custom cam. SAR2K (I think is his name, he works at thunderracing?) dynoed 45#rwhp I believe last year. Do a search on cz28.com. I believe his numbers were with ported LT1 heads.

I am running heads Lloyd ported then I had some clean up done for other issues with a GM cam(cheap at like $230 new..used $175) Dynos numbers were 395 corrected with out tuning.

We have also ran 220 head on a 396 and usless you are willing to get wild you might not see the numbers you are expecting from them Not to mention take a big hit in the bottom end
