all long tubes should make similar power. your car will be the difference honestly. as far as which one to go with. well youve got a choice between a company who steals other company's designs then markets them as their own(jet hot). yes i have serious problem with this. or you have a lower end header which prolly start rusting in a few short years, climate dependent of course, but is loved by many. my suggestion. save your pennies and get a high quality header that comes with a high flow catted y pipe. yes it will cost much more, but i bet itll fit better and last longer than the lesser ones.

you get what you pay for.

I agree with you man. I personally wouldn't care about the HP ratings, they are so miniscule when you get down to RWHP... that is kinda like a really fat chic obsessing over whether to drink Coke or Diet Coke, seem kinda pointless to anyone else? All the little gains add though when you put them together. LT's with CAI, pulleys, and a cut out is more like the regular Coke with a Big Mac, fries, and a chocolate shake. That is when it starts to widen that *** or make some noticable gains. Did I just like totally lose you with that one? lol

Go for the Jet Hots....Longer lasting same basic power as all LT headers...If your worried about looks, and rusting go with JET-HOTS.....but your wallet WILL notice the difference

Pacesetters for some reason dont make a good LT1 header, IMHO. They make a great LS1 header.

Cant go wrong with Jet Hots for a LT1.

Jet Hots are generally a better header, Pacesetters are a slightly better value...the actual power differences between them is probably smaller than the variations between two dyno runs on the same dyno/same day I bet LOL.

The headers are very similar in build quality. I have jet-hots, but would take pacesetters over them for additional steering shaft clearance. (mine hit the shaft unfortunately) The new kooks also look nice. I may pick a set of those up to replace the jet hots i have

Which of the two has better plug clearance? I think that the plug clearance will be the deal breaker for me. Pacesetter's are cheaper, but it seems to me that Jet Hot/Hooker has better quality.

JEt hot has great plug clearance, cant comment on pacesetters. I can get all my plugs from the top in an hour. The back two on passenger side are the only difficult ones, and they're still plenty doable

I really havent heard anyone complain about pacesetters, thats what ill be going with when I upgrade. They are hard to beat for the price. Though if money isnt a concern get Kook's, by far the best. Also, pacesetters, I believe dont have the slip fit and I would prefer not to have to worry about it. If power is the issue either should be very simular.

There was a post on the "other" (one with camaro in its name) forum, and someone posted pics of the jet hots next to the pacesetters. The pacesetters actually seem to be better constructed! Thicker flanges and tubing, and better mounting bolt access. There is also no slip fit #1 primary, which is a headache to most everyone with the jet-hot/hookers.

I had a set of the Jet-Hots on my '94, and liked them quite a bit. I also have a conception of pacesetter as being kind of a cheap or non quality company (maybe because they are all over the JC whitney mag lol).

Bottom line.....I got the Coated Pacesetters with a y-pipe from speed engineering, shipped to my door for 500 bux. The comparable jet-hots would have been at least $150-200 more, even with my $25 off coupon. Pacesetter has come out with a new product that seems built better (not that there was anything wrong with my jet-hots), and has a very attractive price tag.

Those were hooker headers, not jet-hot headers. Dont be confused.

Just curious on what basis or facts you state Jethot stole someones design?

Jethots were $519.00 to my door with full previsions. Hooker's coated headers with full provisions (xtra $) were $629.00. Not sure about Pace's product but the JH's compared to Hooker were a better product, thicker primaries and collector flanges. Only complaint I have about my JHs is the slip fit primary. They agreed to fully replace the driver side though because of the coating being worn off over time where the slipfit joins. Can't complain I guess.

Anxious to see what Kook's comes out with.

their to be 1 7/8ths headers. which i hear are not the best for a stock internal LT1.
