Maintenance for adjusting valves, rockers, etc?

I was just wondering how long after you break an LT1 in, that you'd have to adjust the valves, rockers,etc?? It was bored,stroked,everything...It has about 9k miles on it.

unless u have solid lifters (hydrolic stock).. never

Ok, I was just wonderin'...I was thought I heard a lifter tickin' or a loose rocker...Or maybe its just my imagination..

What kind of cam are you running and what kind of rockers? The reason I ask is because if it is a real aggresive hydraulic cam the rockers might need a once over...it couldn't hurt anyway...but if its just a small cam w/o extreme ramp rates it should be good

It takes less than 15 mins to get both valve covers off, including removing the alternator, $8.00 remote starter bump from AutoZone and you'll be on your way to adjusting your valves or in your case verifying all is well under the valvecovers in no time. Put it this way, you've invested a few $K in this new engine, it's worth checking the valve lash whether your solid or hyd, it's cheap insurance and peace of mind.
