Can you make absolutely sure that the two wires going in are coming from the coil wiring setup??
I checked the wires and they are definitely going from the Jacobs coil into the stock wiring. It would help if the previous owner (a very great friend who recently passed away) would have kept the owner's manuals and documents of the parts he purchased. I am halfway working in the dark. A thought is the wires are probably the power and ground for the coil itself. (Duhhhh! Why didn't I think of that earlier?) My next steps are to check it by the breakdown as suggested by your link. I will keep you posted. Test's to run: Spark plugs & Wires, Ignition Control Module, Coil and Opti?

PS...it could be a vaccum leak now that I think about it too, I know when I had 2 vaccum leaks my RPM's were jumpin around like crazy even with I gave it gas...
Where were your vacuum leaks? I checked the physical condition & connection of all wires and everything came out good. I just replaced them last year (with GM OE & OE plugs) and now wish I would have gone with Taylors again/ with NGK's. I wonder if my Aftermarket coil is an overload for the stock wires..... I can't believe there is much difference in a 7mm wire verses an 8mm.
