new Lt1 why does my car shake??
new Lt1 why does my car shake?? i just built a 383 for my 95 trans am. My motor was internally balanced. i bought a fidanza flywheel and a spec stage 3 setup for my t56. i put my whole car back together it sounds excellent. but it has a heavy vibration. the more u rev the motor the more it viberates. I was thinkin could it be the polyurthene motor mounts.. the flywheel.. or the harmonic balancer?? please if u can help me out id sure like the advice!!!! thxs Jason

I had the same problem with my 383 LT1, it ran fine, but vibrated like mad. My motor wasn't balanced but the guy who built it said he's never had a kit vibrate like that. We took it all apart...
that sucked...took a month and a half out of my summer...took it to get it balanced, ended up the Stock LT1 flywheel had a weight on it! so that sucked, took it all apart for nothin, but ended up getting it balanced, new cam and ****....I'm thinkin, if you have a new flywheel and clutch, was your flywheel balanced with your rotating assembly? Did you keep the balanced wrist pins/piston together? Let us know.

I have the same problem. Only i FOUND my casue. It was my new torq arm rubbing on the chassis. The 12 bolt did not line up correctley. All i need is a new adjustable pan hard rod so i can move it over , just a tiny bit.
I found this after tearing everyting down , becasue everone i asked said it had to be the new clutch or fly wheel. I was not.
I dont know if you have replaced any of the above said componets but if you did check that first !!!
