I am building the top end of the motor with the gm847 cam and home ported heads. I know i need new springs and pushrods but what style? As far as i can tell there are a lot of choices and i need some opinions of people who have done it. thanx.

 

Also, where can i find the 847 to buy?

 

847 can be had from any dealership, from gmpartsdirect, but i'd recommond getting it from jason cromer or dal slabaugh. do a search for them. You'll need some good double springs good to .600 lift, and i'd replace the lifters as well.

 

comp R rockers or crane golds, comp r lifters or good stock replacements, push rods from manly or comp just make sure they are hardened or chromemoly.
