Default LT1 intake question

What are the holes on the bottom of each intake runner for? Where do they go? Can they be filled up? Picture shows a good view of them.

Thanks for any help

i think those r for the egr valve and if so yes they can. but becarefull of what u put in there bc it can come out and into the cylinder. so if i was u i would just leave them alone.

Key word "if". I agree with ou812/z28, I wouldn't mess with em. I highly doubt it is hurting your performance.

That is Steve Quinn's LTx intake. He cuts the top off and then ports the whole intake. He then welds sheet metal to the top which adds volume of air for high reving engines. Very cool setup.

LMFAO!!

Not a singal one of you REALLY know what the holes are?

they are you IAC holes!!!! LOL THEY are what feed your motor when the throttle is closed It has also been found that on the LT1 if you feed MORE air through them it calms down the split BLMs and some of the nasty lope.

I am POSITIVE as I have cut open MORE then one LT intake

BTW The EGR holes are the one just inside the throttle body opening on a stock intake there are two

What he said. You don't want to weld those up.
