Post Guessing times for the 1/4

I have a 1996 lt1 with CAI and slp loud mouth cat back and march underdrive pulleys, I have yet installed my 2600 vigilante stall converter with the B&M shift kit and trans cooler. I am also going to do richmond 3:73 for the back does anybody have a rough guess on what my times would be in the 1/4, also on some stickies!!!!!!!!!

I'd agree with 13.5 - 13.8 if you get traction off the line!

There are really too many variables to give an accurate guess IMHO. Bone Stock LT1s run mid to high 13s at some tracks and modded LT1s run high 13s at others. Go to your track and see what she runs. That is your best answer.

Asr_off, those are some NICE times without even having headers! I guess Texas really does take off half a second! I am basically at Sea level and on a 75ºish day I trapped 104 with my headers!

thanks , yea my car runs strong for whats done , lol i love my LT1 hehe , and you can see by MPH how im need some longtubes bad lol ,it gets out the hole quick but not much top end . My dope pass would have been better had i not bumped it into Neutral passed 1000ft, i think i would of had 5 more MPH still 11.90 115 is still a low mph , so maybe it is just the air down here

what the one guy said was right , just depends on the track , so go try , but it should go at least 13's but N/V is very think (thin??) im confused lol

im saying only that high cause of nevada , from what i know its a lot slower up there but i could be getting confused , in good air at good alt i'd imagine a low 13 , and some cars are freaks so possibly a 12 , i think he need's a lil more converter though , also some of the speed density cars (93's) seem to run really strong so who knows , definitly curious to see whats it is going to run so keep us updated

oh and btw my car still has the stock 3.23's so i imagine if you get the 3.73's installed you'll definitly get low 13's

I hope your PLANING on switch the rear after about 10 passes on slicks, because that things going to break quick, with or without the gears.

low 13s for sure. A factory freak, yes, I could see some 12 passes possible. I have seen some strange things at the track.

Just as others have said, just run it to atleast give you a baseline. Than go from there.

Yeah running in nevada is alot slower then taking your car to sac or down to sea level, my friend has almost droped a full second just driving to sac, i will definantly let all you know how its turns out. For changing my rear after about 10 passes? What would you advise getting, i really dont think that the mods im getting done are going to be enough to break stuff but i colud be wrong, and im going to just be on some drag radials, not slicks (bfg's)??????

It REALLY depends where your are.... two Xmas's ago at houston raceway park with ONLY free mods, home-made CAI, home made exhaust cutout after stock cat, pulling off my serpentine belt, and my own LT1 edit tune. I ran 13.03 @ 104.55 1.89 60'

EVERYTHING ELSE WAS BONE STOCK! the DA was -2000 feet as well.

My car with a MTI CAI, LM, Vigi 3200 on Kuhmos, 17s all four ran 8.58 in the 1/8, stock manifolds, cats, all the stock suspension including the shocks from 93 and factory 3.23s. His set up down here in good air, tires, skinnies, no front sway bar, basic weight reduction would hit bottom 13s easily at HRP. Its all about the DA here in the south, thats why we run so good

Were do you get this information from? This is an auto car, the 10 bolt will live a long while. I have a couple buddies that have hit 10s and 11s on their 10 bolts with autos and they all lived. Theres a guy on CZ28.com in the low 11s in a TH350 car with a 10 bolt right now. In an auto the 10 bolt will take some abuse, nothing like in a six speed car, thats were they get the bad rep from. His car shouldnt have any problems at all brekaing a 10 bolt, even on tires.

Your going to want headers bad after about a week, the stalls a little tight but ina bolt on car it should be just fine. It'll be even funner when you throw the 3.73s in with some LTs, car will rip hard.
