I put mine on a month or so ago and I'm happy with them. It breathes better up top but as far as seat of the pants feel I can't tell much difference, but then again I havent gotten a tune and it's burning pretty rich right now, smokes like a freight train when I get down on it. lol It definitely turns more rpm now, I hit the rev limiter quite often now where as before it quit pulling just before the rev limiter. They fit kinda close to the bottom of the car, I had to bend the drivers side down with a big pipe just to get my collector on but it doesn't rub. For the $$$ I'm happy with them.

Sure, I would say that any time you go to a long tube over a shorty you are going to get an increase in HP and TQ. Not to mention, you are going to be using a 3 inch Y pipe (with no or better cats) instead of a 2.5 so it is is going to breath better. Also, the sound will be sooo mcuh better.

From what I have read about them, the guys are really pleased with the new Pacesetter long tubes. I just wish they would have been around whenever I bought my Hooker long tubes, you just can't beat the price of the Pacesetter's. Good luck!

I am not a big fan of the LM on a car that has long tubes and no cats, I personally think that it sounds like a farm truck. A buddy of mine had one on his 94 Z with a built solid roller 396 and for one, it was WAY too loud and I did not like the sound of it at all, but that is my own opinion. I had a 3 inch flowmaster catback on my car when I went to long tubes and an ORYP and it sounded good but was a little too loud for me so I have a SLP Dual/Dual on mine.

Ok, so in you folks opinions will it be worth the money to get the 1 3/4 Long tube pacesetters, 3in ory, crank pully,4.10 gears, and a dyno tune? Im thinking its gonna be about $1500-$1600 bucks for all this if i install the parts myself (except the gears). Would you do it or just put in dual cutouts in the y-pipe thats on their now( an alternate to the LTs & 3in ory) & get the crank pulley, gears, and tune? Dont wanna run this thread into the ground but im new to LT1s so i just wanted some long time LT1 owners opinions. Thanks! Also was looking at electric water pumps if those are worth it, are they?

I have the pacesetter lt's and ory pipe through a 3in flowmaster and I am very happy with the sound. The 1/4 times looked alot better too.

Originally I installed them on the motor like the previous pictures showed. Turned out after driving the car a while I noticed a leak at the header flange on both sides of the motor. So I wound up having to take them out and reinstalling them w/ the motor in the car. It was easier than I thought it would be. I reinstalled them through the bottom of the car. You should invest in the STAGE 8 Locking header bolts, they are worth it. Just make sure you get the 1" not the 3/4.

I got mine in through the top. I had to remove the valve covers, loosen the motor mounts, and jack the motor up. I thought it was very easy. The worst part was removing the stock manifolds and the emissions.

I wouldnt recommend running a flowmaster. My motor sounded like it had a jake brake everytime I shifted with my flowmaster. I recently put a Borla on and it sounds so much more free flowing after getting ride of the flowmaster. And the motor sounds like its breathing so much better. Not to mention it sounds better on the exhaust end
