Advice On ECU? Well, the 383 will be here soon and I need some advice on what to use for the ecu. I was wondering if you guys out there with stroked or heavly worked engines run on a modified stock ecu or a stand alone. Being that I have a 95 Z with a 95 ecu, the technology and speed of the ecu is limited. I have ben looking at lt1 edit but also Paul Williams (the guy building the stroker) said that Fast technologies and Accel DFI 7 are great unit to use. I need something that wont break the bank but also dependable. Plpease, any info or advice that you guys have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The only real limit to the stock pcm is the 7200 rev limit as long as you don't want to go beyond that it can handle whatever you ask of it.
I would suggest Tunercat instead of LT1 Edit, cheaper, more tables, MUCH better service and not VIN locked like LT1 Edit is.
