but it sill sounds awsome!!!
nice job

Once I get some Mac headers on this thing it will make your LS1 with the GMMG & headers sound like it's running 2 less cylinders...
Well I've heard it both ways on both motors and I agree the best cat-back/header combo in terms of pure muscle car sound on the LS1 is the GMMG, but an LT1 with a similar set-up still sounds much deeper & meaner...Can't go wrong either way though...

But I agree that clip doesn't sound the greatest (heck, my car car w/ stock manifolds sounds a lot deeper than that!). Got to hear it in person...

I didn't want this to turn into a LT1 sound vs LS1 sound debate
2000LS1Z28, IIRC you are local to a guy that has MACs with GMMG? Think he's got a clip with the offroad pipe in? From the looks of it I'd say you have stock in GMMG

nice job

Lastcall, when you get some more clips, see if you can get one up at the top of the power band. It has to sounds incredible up top.
How does yours and DaveLT1 9's sound compared to each other? I just noticed on his web page that you guys have the same exact header/dual cat/Y-pipe set-ups, but you're running the GMMG & him the SLP Loudmouth...I've always thought they sounded similar under 3000rpms but that the GMMG sounds so much deeper and more refined at full throttle up top (the GMMG sounds like a "muscle car" whereas the Loudmouth sounds like a "nascar").
And I do not have any clips of an LT1 with the GMMG & Mac headers, but I got the chance to hear a '94 Z28 with that combo both with & without a cat back in the spring and it was easily the deepest sound I've ever heard out of any 4th gen hands down...It was definitely louder all around without the cat (although it had a little rasp in the mid rpms; sounded more like a violent flapping sound
). But he revved that thing up for me while I stood behind his car and all I could do after hearing it was this...
WOT was super loud and surprisingly DEEP all the way to redline too...That's why I'm going to put some Mac's on my LT1...Just can't decide whether I want to run a highflow cat or a Dynomax bullet in place of where the cat would be...BTW, shorty or mid-length headers produce a "deeper, thoatier" sound than any longtube set-up (it's just how in they are designed).

the LS1 can thank it's aluminum block for it's higher pitched cackling exhaust... most people on the board admit that the LT1 sounds much better than the LS1, especially with a full exhaust.

PS - Ritz, that's a nice *** sig pic.
