410 here now what?
Forged 410 short block...filled and c.r. near 12.5 to 1
AFR 227's or 220's? Which do you think...they will be bought bare and stuffed with bigger valves if ya'll recommend it and fully ported by Stegemeyer who ports Nascar heads and is local to us in St. Louis
Solid Roller cam from ???? Cam Motion is what we are thinking...but we don't really know who is on the cutting edge of solid roller technology...but the shortblock is already set up for it
LT4 intake...hogged out and port matched to whatever head we end up going with.
Stock PCM- any tips on this?
NOS Direct Port Kit- Looking to spray about 300ish...any recomendations on which kit?
Which throttle body? MAF?
TH-400 reverse manual valve body with a transbrake...no idea what converter because this thing will make a lot of torque and we don't want to lose it with too big a converter.
Any ideas would be much appreciated...what is the shortfall of this setup? We are kinda going in blind and would rather get advice rather than pissing away money. Thanks in advance.

What's the plans on this...end of the world street car, track car, toy? I would go w/ a 220 AFR. 2.08/1.60 valves should be good, just make sure to get some good stainless valves like Ferrea or Manley. You'll also have to run an offset rocker/lifter setup w/ the 220s. They REQUIRE the use of a shaft-mount setup like T&D or Jesel. The other alternative is a set of badass aftermarket heads and have them converted to reverse cooling. This will also require a different intake manifold, which may not be a bad idea to begin with. I can hook you up w/ a company that will convert anything (SB2.2, Buick 10*, standard 18*, etc) to reverse cooling for a couple bills.
Almost have to go w/ solid roller. Talk to either Cam Motion or Flowtech to get some specs. Can't go wrong either way. Probably will need to have head flow numbers before you can do anything on cam specs.
Intake..hmm. For a 410, you may be restricting it w/ the LTx breadbox. I'd look into a Super Vic or something similar and stick a Wilson 90mm or 4150 EFI throttlebody on it.
Stock PCM? Ditch that sucka. Get a FAST and spin that bitch to 8K.
Cold Fusion Nitrous has a pretty good direct port setup. They're a sponsor too.

Depending on what the use will be, I'd go Powerglide for a track car, TH400 for street. If you go w/ the 'glide, Neal Chance...no doubt about it. With the 400, I'd recommend a Coan.
Downfalls..well, it's on a convertible. Were you the guys asking about stiffening up a convertible 4th-gen on FAST?
