which pins do I use on OBD2 connector??

which pins do I use on OBD2 connector?? Ok, I'm doing a OBD1 conversion on a 96 TA which is OBD2. Bought a cable off ebay and it has 4 wires with pins that I'm suppose to stick in the right hole on the connector. The diagram they sent with it shows an OBD1 connector and the OBD2 style like is in a 95 which is actually OBD1 right? My question is which pin goes where? Is my OBD2 connector in the 96 wired up the same as the 95 OBD2 style connector so I just go by their diagram? 
Also, the replacement ecm is for an auto, do I just flash with a manual file and where can I get one?
