I Have A B&m 3000 Stall Holeshot Converter, I Hate It! It Stalls Great But Locks Up Like A Wet Sponge And Slips Under The Slightest Load. Please Help Me To Decide Which Brand To Upgrade To.

Ps=nothing Is Wrong With My Trany It Has Been Checked.

The Edgeracingconverters.com are gaining huge popularity with the b-body crowd, honestly guys have ditched Vig and Yank in favor of Edge. A 3K would drive fairly well a friend has one in an Impala with 3.73s and is very happy. I have a 2800 it is tame enough that for the better part of a year I drove it with 2.93s in my Caprice, all weather(included snow and ice) and light towing included, car saw 25K in the 11months between when I put the TC in and when a deer wiped out the frontend.

B&M converters are garbage IMO. Aside from Vig and Yank you should check out Midwest....I had mine custom made 3 years ago and no problems as of yet.

Im using a TCI 3500 and its worked great although I fear a rebuild/restall is lurking around the corner. I actually bought it used(lower mileage) and have had it in the car for about a year now with no problems except for premature tire wear.

B&M = Bowl Movment

Mine took a dump at the 60ft mark on the first pass......

I am running a yank but I have some built to my spec's that seem to work good. The one in my wifes cae is great and we drive it 60 miles aday.

BTW one thing I have found in the past 15 years or so is still and slip are all under different inturputations to each person. what is great for some just will not do for others.

IMHO you sound like a PI type person Try a vig 2,800 and some programing

I'm with 96capricemgr. I'm an Edge TC user right here. 2800-3000 rpm stall with a str of 2.45 (comparable to a 2.60 on a yank), 3.73s and some bolt on goodies. I love it. It's very streetable and lock up is very affirmative. Then again this is in a b-body, so I'm not sure what it will feel like in a camaro

I put on 60miles per day(6 days per week most of this year) not highway either not really in-town though, county roads, stopsigns, tractors. Basically if it is drivable in a heavier b-body it will be even moreso in an f-body.
