Idle question
Idle question Hi guys I have a question for you. For what ever reason my car normally idles at 1000-1400 rpms, i'm not sure what a normal lt1 idle is but to me that seems a little high. Recently my check engine light went on so I took it to autosone to get it scanned, it came back as the idle sensor or something being off, the guy at autozone said that i might have a vacumm leak and told me to spray some carb cleaner around the engine bay and see if the motor does anything. I sprayed some around and I didn't notice any changes in the motor, do you guys have any ideas? Oh yea, the car came with an Accel 300+ racing ignition. I'm not really to up to date on ignitions so i'm not sure if that might be the problem. The only thing I know is that it makes a wierd buzzing sound sometimes. Sorry if this is a dumb question but i've only had the car for two weeks and am still learning the "v8 world."

You may want to try cleaning out your IAC http://shbox.com/1/iac3.jpg . And if that doesn't work, you may want to replace it.
