Default good handheld tool for LT1's

I don't know how many have heard of "Autoxray" scan tools, but for the LT1 crowd, these are great. I paid $100 for mine (OBD1). The 1 &2 version could be had for under 200. The are great for scanning, clearing codes, and real time monitor w/ capture ability. 14 sec before, 14 sec after. So if your 1/4 mile times are over 14.5 sec, you won't get the full reading of the run. capturing on the 1/8 is best. If you have a mail order type tuner. Write down all the parameters and they can make adjustments to your tune.
Just some advice for those out there need a good scan tool for a budget. Maybe others can chime in on other products they know about.

I have a $100 laptop(Ebay), with a $65 cable($35 if you want to build it yourself akmcables.com ), then Freescan is as the name implies free, or the top of the line is Datamaster for maybe $90 playback all parameters in realtime slower whatever you want and can record for quite a while easily 20 minutes at the fast record rate. This is just for OBD1 I use an OBD1 pcm in my 96.
http://www.ttspowersystems.com/DM_Software.htm if anyone wants to try it I can post a file for you to view with it.

The laptop requirements are very modest 233mhz, 96mb ram is plenty, 2 gig
