I would just wait for some more mods and get a mail order tune or dyno tune later on. Or you could look on here in the F/S section or ebay and try and find a Hypertech cheap. They are pretty worthless though outside of gear ration corrections, thermostat recalibration, and shift firmness, speed governor remove and redline.

I used the SuperChips and the Diablo Programmers on the Cobra and other Ford's. I'm not sure if they offer anything for the Camaro. If so, I would go with them, they're ALOT nicer than Hypertech.
Custom tuning for the LT1 is sooooo cheap that any handheld is a complete waste of time and money.
pcmforless.com or madz28.com are both good and very reasonably priced and either will give you better results than a handhels. Handhelds have to be setup so the fueling and timing will work for a lot of different combos, custom stuff will be dialed in to your combo and cost a lot less.
