Going With TH-400

Going With TH-400 I have decided to go with A TH-400 with a reverse manual valve body instead of a 4L60E. I have heard alot of negative things about the 4l60 and I need a strong reliable tranny. Anyone here running a 400 in there f-body? If so how is it holding up? Any problems with it? Any input is appreciated.

Lot of B-body guys running TH400's over at ImpalaSSforums.com in the drivetrain section. Generally they recieve goodfeedback, and unlike the 4L80E, they don't require transmission tunnel hammering. The downside is obviously the loss of overdrive and additional weight.

Modified A4 crossmember
New driveshaft
92 454SS VSS sender and relocutor
Rebuilt Tranny
New TC
Generally, the estimates are 2500.00 for everything, assuming you install it yourself.
