Engine noise

Well my 383 has about 1500 miles on it. When I am accelerating(can only hear it with the cutout shut) it makes a chattering noise. I am pretty sure it is coming from the engine and not the rear/tranny. Its sounds kinda like a deasel running whe it gets into a pull. I am thinking it is something in the valve train and I dont think that detination would be that bad or lasted this long. I had a tune done by PCMforless but havent had a scanner hood to it yet. The only codes it throws is a skipshift code and a MAF code. Any help??

what octane gas u runnin? shitty gas will make it spark knock(that kinda sounds diesel-like) but i didnt hear the noise so i have no clue. if u use regular try a tank of 91 or 93
