anyone know how to diagnose or fix it? the definition is:
IC 24X Reference Circuit Missing Pulses
Its a 1996 camaro 5.7 liter. The engine has a crank quite a bit before it will start, but once it does it runs ok. Oddly enough if its running and i turn it off and then start it up again it will fire right back up without any problems. The tach also doesnt work or works for a little while but then just goes and stays at zero. Its very funky. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I dunno if that's the trouble code for the Opti-Spark, but the symptoms sound like you could have one starting to fail on you. What is the mileage on the vehicle and how long has it had the current opti?

mileage is ~130,xxx and as far as i know its the original one. I only got the car 5 months ago and have been loving it. Having it do this is quite a bummer. Anything i can do in particular to see if it is the Opti-Spark?

To be honest the symptoms say you need a fuel pump. As a matter of fact i am replacing one today that acted just like the last week....before it died ![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
I will have to pull out my book on the code.

Did you figure out what was wrong with your car? I am having the same problems. Let me know what you figured out.
