I have been seeing a lot of people on the board have a scan master. What does it exactly do and what is the difference between the scanmaster/translator package and just thescanmaster?

LT1 SCANMASTER
This stand alone product is compatible with LT1 powered cars and trucks. It will display many (21) computer modes for tuning and also display and clear trouble codes. It can capture data for recall so you can see if your car was rich or lean it can also see spark knock. With our data retrieval cable (available soon) it can be plugged into a laptop computer and complete runs can be downloaded from the units on board memory and then read and graphed by programs such as Excel.

TRANSLATOR- It will allow the user to adjust the Air / Fuel ratio across different parts of the RPM band. It is easy to make adjustments by simply turning some 16 position switches inside the unit that will make whatever part of t he fuel curve you wish richer or leaner. Simple 5 minute plug in installation and proven performance make this a must have for LS1 owners. Especially useful on modified motors with aftermarket heads or cams the Translator eliminates the need for costly and often unreliable computer re-programming. Fit s 98 and up F-Body and 1997 - 2000 Corvette
