Default PaceSetter Longtubes and Loud Mouth Combo ???

im getting ready to install PaceSetter Longtubes and SLP Loud Mouth exhaust on my 97 TA. i was just wondering if i still needed to buy the Y pipe for the headers. thanks

yes you will need it no matter what cat back you run, the only way you won't need it is if you custom make one or run tru duals.

Def. need y-pipe catted 3in but if you wanna run nocats then....Just a warning butI ran Mac 1 3/4 mids, 2.5in ory and a loudmouth on my 99z28 and it sounded like ***.Raspy and nasty as hell. I dunno what it would sound like on an LT1 w/ LTs, ory, and the Slp loudmouth but id bet on getting a sprial flow muffler in place of the slp resonator. I have since put that slp exhaust on my 95LT1 6sp w/ a sprialflow muffler in place of the slp resonator along with bbk 1 5/8in shorties and 2.5in ory and imho it sounds fuc*in great!!!!!!

My friend has LTs, Catted Y, and loudmouth. It's loud as hell, but it's clean IMO. Not much rasp at all, and looking back it's a good thing he kept the cats. Go for it, ORY at your own risk! :x

i have a 96 z28 with slp loudmouth and plan on doing lt longtubes with y pipe and eliminating the cats.......everyone says it going to be so loud and i could probably agree with them.....just the cat back is LOUD *** hell.....so what spiral muffler do you recomend like a high flow muffler? who makes it?
