im getting ready to install PaceSetter Longtubes and SLP Loud Mouth exhaust on my 97 TA. i was just wondering if i still needed to buy the Y pipe for the headers. thanks
Def. need y-pipe catted 3in but if you wanna run nocats then....Just a warning butI ran Mac 1 3/4 mids, 2.5in ory and a loudmouth on my 99z28 and it sounded like ***.Raspy and nasty as hell. I dunno what it would sound like on an LT1 w/ LTs, ory, and the Slp loudmouth but id bet on getting a sprial flow muffler in place of the slp resonator. I have since put that slp exhaust on my 95LT1 6sp w/ a sprialflow muffler in place of the slp resonator along with bbk 1 5/8in shorties and 2.5in ory and imho it sounds fuc*in great!!!!!!
My friend has LTs, Catted Y, and loudmouth. It's loud as hell, but it's clean IMO. Not much rasp at all, and looking back it's a good thing he kept the cats. Go for it, ORY at your own risk! :x
