Default balancer options

well the rubber is beginning to come out of my balancer, so it needs to be replaced. i called GM they want too much, something like $200. im wondering if there is another option. personally im not one to use under drive pullies. for the LT1 i dont know of any under drive pullies that dont also require the retension of the stock balancer. my question is then what are my options? is stock my best bet or does someone make an aftermarket one that will last and is better than what the factory put on it? car is stock, nothing fancy and nothing beat on constantly. thanks

ASP makes a true replacement pulley but its also underdrive. Its about $150

Fluid dampre and ATI both make true harmonic balancers but they are $300-$400
