Default Cut out help

Im hopefully gonna be ordering my cut out tonight if my questions get answered. I wanted to put the cut out before the cat but when i looked under the car there really isnt any place to put it before the cat, so i wanted to know were you guys put your cut out? Also what size is the stock diameter exhaust so i order the right one? One more do they weld in or do you just cut out a section the just slip it inside between the two halfs and secure it with clamps?
Thanks,
Justin

If you don't care about emissions you could put it in place of the cat, also you should probley weld it in so it's leak free, not sure what the stock size piping is though.

im in the same position as you...I'm not quite sure where to put a cutout im about to order.Stock piping is 2.5 or 2.75 inches..somewhere around there. Although I live in california with the emissions ****'s they are I may be a rebel and switch out the cat for cutout like satinleafct suggested. If you havn't finished in a week or so i'll let you know how mine goes.

Place it just before the muffler or should I say rear axle, that is where I placed mine. It helps to eliminate cab vibration but you are still going to get a little bit. However the sound is great especially at freeway cruising speeds.

unfortunatly im from california too so i guess ill just play it safe and keep the cat. I now just need to search to find the diameter size for the exhaust.

On my stock pipes I put on a 3". It was perfect. Mine was in the I-pipe after the cat and right before the bend for the axle. Damn, I can barely remember what a cat back looks like nowadays. lol
