Price would probably go to CNC.

Performance I would say could be a tie. Depends on if you get a good port program or not. On the other side if you have a good porter with a grinder.

Down time would go to CNC. By hand just takes longer.

Either way you will find great results with both. Even the CNC heads are still finished by hand. I started with CNC heads and now am putting hand ported heads on the car. Oh yeah, the hand ported ones have better numbers

The CNC program comes from a hand ported set of heads, it all comes down to the porter. The prices I have seen for CNC work are not cheap.

We believe that CNC porting makes more power! You do have a choice, but like the other guy said,it is not cheap! But well worth it! Alot of this topic depends on what you are trying to achieve, and are you willing to make all the other necessary changes that would need to go along with a CNC program such as camshaft ect!If you are planning on just gaining a little here or there, then a hand port might be what you are looking for, around the exhuast and intake shrouds.ITS YOUR MONEY!
