Default 3000 or 3500 converter?

On monday i will either be purchasing a TCI Streetfighter converter with a stall speed of either 3000 or 3500. My car is driven almost daily in the summer with mods in sig and will see the track maybe 3 or 4 times a month. Which would you guys go with?

If your gonna stall, stall big. Dont want to end up sitting around wishing you'da went bigger. I run a 3500 Neal chance and love it, gotta get used to it. But the added performance is well worth it.

I ran mine on the street with a ST3500 (Yank), pretty nice converter. I would not think that you would want any bigger than that. IMO

Yup....match it to your cam you currently have or if you plan on getting a cam in the near future and know what it is, match it to that cam.

I wouldn't throw a 3500 in there that may flash to near 4K on a stock cam....you're going to skip right past the meat of the stock cam's powerband.

I think the 3000 should be a good match for your setup.

I agree with the 3000 stall. If you are only going to run the car a few times a month and want to drive it, stay with the 3000. I have the Super StreetFighter (3800) stall on a TH350 and it is a hoot to drive, at 35 mph. Not too suitable for a driver. P.S. Don't get into the transmission swap as it took 3 months and about $1400 bucks. Just like everything else in life, all I needed was another 2.75 inches......... of clearance that is.

I also say 3000, going much bigger will just skip the power band of the car.

I'll be getting a 3500 with LE3 heads, LE2 cam, full bolt ons, new rear end, sticky tires etc. Should be sweet! It was either that or the 3200. I will also be getting a new Moser 12 bolt with 4.10's. Should be sweet! I'm still stuck between the 3200-3500. John from Fuddle Racing *sponsor here* is now offering FREE restalls. If you want it restalled from him just ship it to him and he'll do it for free.
