Default Headers?

hello im that guy with a 95 firehawk stock m6 and im wondering what would be the best headers, i beleive i bought the car with some sort of exhaust and i've heard shortties where best for torque but ive heard you need longtubes for some reason i dont know, and what brands? what do you think? I thankyou

there are some loyal followers who preach that shorties are the best at making torque, but I've always seen longtubes perform better dyno and E/T-wise. Kooks makes an absolutely KILLER set of stainless steel longtubes if you've got the cash to spend, if not then some Jet Hot coated longtubes will do you fine for less of a price.

As for shorties, I had a horrible experience with edelbrocks (leaks and inaccessible plugs/wires). But I've heard pretty good things about the AS&M and Mac shorties. They're your best bet if you either need to pass emissions or are really strapped for cash. Otherwise, go with longtubes.

I have the SLP shorties they are pretty impressive for 1 3/4. I am going to be buying the kook's when i see the next gp. If you have the extra money i would go with those. You will have to get the ypipe also.
