lt1 tuner program suggestion

anyone have a recommendation - hows hypertech (is the power programmer III the same as the plus?)

power programmer question

im a newbie to this computer stuff, is the hypertech power programmer III same as the programmer plus?

and do you recommend the hypertech or something else?

Yes, dont bother with the hypertech.......not worth the money. IF you want to program the PCM send it out to Ion at madz28.com or Ed Wright. Much better programming for less money......

i just want to do a little tuing, and something that can read the error codes for me

where can i get Cats or lt1 edit? have looked on the internet and couldnt find anything

... a Hypertech can be usefull for some things.... (when you change gear ratios, raise rev limiter, fans can be turned on @ 180*, thermostat open @ 180*) If you pick one for cheap it is an OK buy, but if you want to gain some ponies might want to consider getting a mail order tune, or better yet a custom dyno tune.
