Yes there are a few out there running them.

Need a custom intake and offset lifters which i guess you know, other than that have fun. Have seen 330+ cfm out of them.

dont you also need shaft mounted rockers, and a custom intake ie(sheet metal).... sure they will flow pretty good, but thats a lot $$$ you have to spend in order to be compatible with a LT1.... let us know how the 396 goes.... good luck

HPE sells them, get in contact with them, Chuck or Rick can help you out on setting you up with a set. Far as hitting 680HP, how much gas or boost you putting through that motor? That is a **** ton of power to try and make NA, even 500rwhp would be a stretch by all means.

500 is hardly a stretch with a 396, especially with a solid roller. Look around you, 410-420rwhp is being had with medium sized hydraulic rollers in 350s with stock ported heads and intakes.

Now add 30% to head flow, 40% to head/intake velocity, a few % to efficiency, increase cam size and account for solid roller benefits, and 12% to cubic inches, and that extra 80-90 HP is a stretch? I'm sure he could make 700rwhp no problem with the cam and valvetrain/heads to support it.

420 with a medium sized cam in 350 hahaha, the biggest hp 350 out there right now is 44X one of Joe Os customers, its not like everyone is putting those numbers down though, 360-390rwhp is normal for h/c car, 420-450 is normal for a strocker like a 383/396 with a set of 195 ported heads and healthy hydr cam, 500-550 210cc+ heads/ solid rollers. I wouldnt say 500 is a stretch but it has to be a damn good set up. 700 wow, never heard of anyone doing that, not even worlds fastest n/a lt1 is getting those numbers, not yet at least

A healthy solid roller + single plane + good heads (350+ flowing, 220+cc) should make well north of 650 in a 396, especially with a 12.8:1 compression. I'm talking FW hp here too, dont get confused by my RWHP statement, most people dont have access to an engine dyno

I managed to put down 423 with lots of problems. Should be in the 450-ish range this time, still stock ported heads/intake/displacement and stock PCM.

Flywheel I can believe, but Dietcoke, you gotta agree making those kinda numbers are still fairly tough and the motor is going to be a nasty beast. FRans, that car is going to be so damn sick

What is your number at flywheel?? If you use carbonfiber driveshaft this 467 will increase 20hp you know?
