Pacesetter LT's VS Mac MT's. I have a 95 Z28 vert and I'm trying to decide which headers system would be the best to go with for my car. I know I'm being kind of cheap here but I don't feel dropping a large amount of money for some headers that will be used on a street car (plus the fact I'm a broke college student doesn't help). The Pacesetters sit a little lower then the Macs but I have heard they are more forgiving when it comes to ground clearance when compared to Hooker Headers. The main thing that scared me away from the Hooker Headers is that I have heard so many horror stories about dragging the headers and good ground clearance for me is an important issue. Shortys are out of the question because the gains are so small, the Macs don't offer the performance of LT's but they come very close being mid length headers. Price wise the Pacesetters cost an extra 150+ when compared to the Macs. So in your opinion which system would be the best to go with?

I've got the pacesetters on my LT1 and I'm happy with them. I have hit the groud with them but that was b/c of a speed bump or a large dip in a drive way. You have to catty corner it with those things. My car has not been lowered either, its stock hight, I want to lower it about a inch, we'll see.
