Default LT1s are slow and suck

haha jez kiddin figured that fold some ears back, well I'm about 2 months away from rebirthing my LT1 mule Peppe. Have not been in here a while thought I'd say sup to the ole LT1 diehards. See some new faces...or usernames, I have a brokedick 97 Z28, thrown rod, been saving $$, and at the point of having enough to just buy a different car...kind of a crossroad not sure what I want to do but then again the Z28 is paid for...but I do have the engine builder decided, and 85% of the engine specs decided upon. I miss the roar of my lt1 with the dual caps off....can't imagine what it'd sound like with a big ole solid roller cam, 396 stroker and the caps off ...

Bad *** Brett, I remember down at Lowes when you had that 847 cam, car ripped so hard. I'd stick to it man, its really getting there and wont be long till its on the street. plus the car is cleaner than most LS1 cars, so unless you goin for that Vette, I'd stick with the Z28.

Thanks dude, I miss Peppe bad. Your right though man I mean it's paid for so what the hell. The only vette I like is the new one, and you know they are giving them away . I'm getting anxious, this Camry is awesome at 32mpg in the city right now...but damn I feel like an old man driving it...

That's not hard to overcome man, little engineering can overcome that. I'm curious about the new MSD replace cap/rotor if it really overcomes high rpm cross spark?

OPTI will not be part of my new setup, definitely doing the LS conversion. Considered Delteq but I like the nitrous control with Bob Bailey's LS coil conversion setup.

yeah I hear ya, but basically it's what it had, a 10,000 mile garage built bottom end piece of **** (not my build) that I bought off someone when I killed my 1st engine...if I stay LT1 I'm planning on using LME to build a good beast & Gforce for the tuning. My delimma is there is only so much you can get out of an LT1 without spending tons, kind of weighing in some other engine options altogether.

I've kicked around building this engine for boost with either a V2S2 or a turbo setup, shrugs just not sure I'd like the mild hyd cam setup and low compression heads. And I already have 2 week old AFR-210s (till it threw a rod) so I'm thinking about just staying all motor and going nuts with some crazy custom grind and custom intake/throttle body...maybe I'll just add nitrous one day who knows?
